Revolving Fund for Higher Education

Revolving Fund of Higher Education was conceptualized as a need-based initiative in 2007.  A large number of members of the credit cooperative of KKPKP were applying for loans for the higher education of their children. Since members were willing to pay an interest on these loans, the plan was to have a sustainable programme that would support higher education for children but  not affect the members financially. Hence, the loan is repaid in EMIs, at an amount convenient to the member.

The idea of the fund began when a donor gave money to the sanghatana towards support for higher education. Subsequently, we decided to institute a revolving fund for higher education so as to reduce dependence on outside sources for this initiative.
